Job Description
A GIS expert role focused on supporting defense and intelligence workflows by developing innovative GIS solutions, providing technical consulting, and demonstrating the value of Esri technology to customers through presentations, strategy development, and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions that demonstrate business value and address customer challenges
- Define and deliver strategies to align Esri technology with customer needs
- Become a subject matter expert in defense and intelligence communities and ArcGIS technology
- Present, demonstrate, and support the sale of Esri software and solutions to customers
- Design and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for diverse audiences
- Support sales strategies and build customer relationships through technical expertise
- Provide best practices for the use, deployment, and administration of Esri technology
Requirements
- Three years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications.
- One year of experience in supporting civilian sciences or a related scientific community.
- Understanding of ArcGIS from a basic IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing.
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as a general understanding of the business development processes.
- Knowledge of basic cloud computing concepts and environments, specifically Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Remarkable presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50% of the time, typically 25% or less.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field.
- Ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
