Job Description
A GIS subject matter expert responsible for advising customers on complex business challenges using Esri's GIS technology, demonstrating solutions, and supporting sales strategies through technical expertise and presentations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise customers on complex GIS solutions and demonstrate their value
- Build relationships and support sales strategies for Esri software and solutions
- Become a subject matter expert in specific industry sectors and ArcGIS technology
- Present technical demonstrations and design presentations for diverse audiences
- Proactively craft and propose GIS solutions addressing customer challenges
- Define and deliver strategies to align Esri technology with customer business needs
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications
- At least 1 year of experience in Hi-Tech, Media Entertainment, Consumer Goods Services, Insurance and Financial Services
- Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context such as hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, virtualization, and cloud computing
- Experience in technical consulting and conceptual solution design as well as an understanding of sales and business development processes
- Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology
- Knowledge of cloud computing concepts and environments such as Microsoft Azure or AWS
- Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture
- Experience integrating software solutions with other business systems including data warehousing, BI, CRM, ERP, and analytics platforms
- Experience incorporating real-time information streams with existing GIS data and IT infrastructure
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%
