Job Description
This role involves developing and leading global marketing strategies for GIS technology in the roads and highways transportation sector, acting as a subject matter expert, and collaborating with various teams to promote GIS solutions, grow industry presence, and support business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee global go-to-market strategies for roads and highways market to drive growth and awareness.
- Represent Esri as the subject matter expert in the transportation domain, particularly roads and highways.
- Forecast, evaluate, and develop solutions for industry trends and key business issues using data analysis.
- Create and execute industry marketing strategies and programs to support GIS adoption in transportation.
- Research and analyze market, technological, and financial factors to identify service and market opportunities.
- Develop new business opportunities in underserved areas within the roads and highways market.
- Collaborate with product development to incorporate industry feedback and advocate for customer needs.
- Support sales and regional teams with domain expertise, industry contacts, and guidance.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, associations, and trade organizations.
- Represent Esri at industry conferences, trade shows, and events domestically and internationally.
- Foster and maintain a GIS user community within the transportation industry through various networking channels.
Requirements
- 8 years of demonstrated leadership and practical experience in a transportation discipline focused on the roads and highways market
- Strong GIS experience as it relates to transportation, including some combination of multimodal transportation planning and modeling, intelligent transportation systems, road safety management systems, asset management, environmental management, and transportation equity, among others
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and achieve goals
- In-depth knowledge of development issues, challenges, workflows, and opportunities for improvement using GIS and its practical applications in the roads and highways domain
- Experience leading industry strategy, business development, and marketing programs including creating and managing influence plans and monitoring and reporting on results, coordinating integrated execution teams, and managing budgets
- Bachelor’s degree in planning, geography, or public business administration
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
