Job Description
This role involves developing and leading global go-to-market strategies for Esri's GIS technology in the rail transportation industry, including industry analysis, marketing, business development, and stakeholder engagement to drive growth and adoption of GIS solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee global go-to-market strategies for the rail industry to drive growth and awareness of Esri GIS technology.
- Represent Esri as a subject matter expert in the rail market and forecast industry trends to develop solutions and messaging.
- Create and execute industry marketing strategies and programs to support GIS adoption in transportation and rail sectors.
- Research, analyze, and monitor market, technological, and financial factors to identify service and market opportunities in rail.
- Develop new business opportunities in underserved areas of the rail market using GIS applications.
- Collaborate with product development to incorporate rail industry feedback and advocate for customer needs.
- Work with sales teams, international managers, and distributors to provide domain expertise and support within the rail community.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, associations, and organizations to promote GIS technology.
Requirements
- 8 years of demonstrated leadership and practical experience in a transportation discipline focused on the rail market
- Strong GIS experience as it relates to rail, including some combination of multimodal transportation planning and modeling, intelligent transportation systems, road safety management systems, asset management, environmental management and transportation equity, among others
- The ability to motivate, inspire, and achieve goals
- In-depth knowledge of development issues, challenges, workflows, and opportunities for improvement using GIS and its practical applications in the rail domain
- Experience leading industry strategy, business development, and marketing programs including creating and managing influence plans and monitoring and reporting on results, coordinating integrated execution teams, and managing budgets
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
- Bachelor's degree in planning, geography, or public business administration
