Job Description
This role involves leading and promoting Esri's work in national mapping and charting by engaging with industry communities, developing content, supporting events, and collaborating with partners to advance GIS-based basemap data management and industry solutions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Esri's work in national mapping and charting at events and conferences
- Support and engage in conferences, seminars, webinars, and user group meetings with domain expertise
- Collaborate with internal teams and partners on national mapping and charting issues and opportunities
- Develop and implement content strategies to raise awareness and build community around national mapping and charting
- Network with industry influencers to promote Esri technology and address industry challenges
- Assist in developing and executing marketing strategies to grow Esri's presence in the industry
- Promote the work of ArcGIS users and share industry trends and insights
- Maintain and deepen expertise in GIS and national mapping and charting to support internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- Eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience working in a national mapping or charting agency managing production of basemap data and information products.
- Solid understanding of national mapping and charting and the use of GIS for basemap data management.
- Solid understanding of GIS and other software technologies used in national mapping and charting such as remote sensing, AI Deep Learning, and basemap data production.
- Solid understanding and knowledge of competitive issues in the national mapping and charting industry.
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience presenting GIS and national mapping and charting topics to a variety of audiences.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task with shifting priorities.
- Ability to effectively converse and engage with the GIS and national mapping and charting communities.
- Strong decision-making, problem resolution, and creative thinking skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, ability to learn quickly, and positive attitude.
- Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in geography, information system management, or similar fields.

Compensation/salary range: $108,160 - $180,960 USD
