Job Description
Develops and leads global go-to-market strategies for GIS solutions in the Electric Industry, acting as a thought leader to drive industry awareness, demand, and community engagement through marketing, content creation, industry collaboration, and customer advocacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute global go-to-market strategies for the Electric Industry to drive growth and awareness.
- Represent Esri as a subject matter expert and thought leader in the Electric Industry.
- Forecast industry trends and develop solutions and messaging to address key business issues and opportunities.
- Create and implement industry marketing plans, programs, and thought leadership content to promote GIS in the Electric Industry.
- Research, analyze, and monitor technological and market factors to identify service and market opportunities.
- Develop new business opportunities in underserved areas of the Electric Utility sector using GIS applications.
- Collaborate with product development to advocate for Electric Industry needs and support sales efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry partners, associations, and the GIS user community.
Requirements
- 10 years of demonstrated leadership and practical experience in the Electric or Power Industry, or related fields including management, market development, and business development
- 5 years of proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate, inspire, and achieve goals through a matrix team
- Experience with GIS technology as uniquely suited to address existing and emerging industry challenges and opportunities
- In-depth knowledge of Electric Utility issues, challenges, workflows, and opportunities for improvement using GIS and its practical applications
- Membership and leadership in industry associations and societies for at least 5 years
- Experience presenting Electric initiatives to executives, managers, and influencers
- Experience publishing industry articles, blogs, books, or other thought leadership authorship
- Experience in public speaking to organizations representing the Electric Industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, GIS, geography, computer science, or a related field
Benefits & Perks
Compensation/salary range: $108,160 - $180,960 USD
Work schedule: Hybrid work arrangement
