Job Description
The role involves working with the US Department of the Interior to optimize and expand the adoption of Esri technology, focusing on building relationships, understanding customer needs, and delivering tailored solutions. The position requires experience in enterprise sales or consulting, particularly within the federal government sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and implement location strategies for organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for customers.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
- Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes.
- Articulate the value of Esri technology to federal agencies.
- Execute account management and sales processes for opportunities.
- Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.
Requirements
- 5 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- 3 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the federal government industry, US Dept of the Interior bureaus, and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically 25-50%.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, Natural Resources, Environmental Science, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
