Job Description
The job involves managing customer relationships and sales strategies for Esri's technology within the US Army Corps of Engineers and US Army Installations, focusing on optimizing the adoption of geospatial technology and identifying growth opportunities. The role requires collaboration, consultative selling, and a strong understanding of federal processes and GIS applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships with customers and implement sales strategies to promote GIS value.
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for new and existing customers.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge of the US Army Corps of Engineers and relevant GIS applications.
- Identify key stakeholders and understand federal budgeting and acquisition processes.
- Use consultative skills to discover customer needs and business challenges.
- Articulate the strength and value of ArcGIS technology to organizations.
- Execute account management and sales processes to achieve goals.
- Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies.
Requirements
- 5 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- 3 years of experience working in or supporting the federal government.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, business development, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the Corps of Engineers, physical infrastructure, and defense facilities facility management, new technology trends, and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Knowledge of the Federal fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles.
- General knowledge of the Federal contract process.
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- General knowledge of data science or spatial analysis and how it is used for problem solving and uncovering patterns and trends within organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- US citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
