Job Description
A DevOps engineer at Esri will design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable distributed software systems, focusing on automation, infrastructure, security, and monitoring to support the development and deployment of mapping and geospatial analytics products.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement services in collaboration with engineering teams
- Develop, orchestrate, and improve build and deployment systems
- Build and enhance infrastructure to support services
- Participate in software security reviews
- Design and implement monitoring systems and test frameworks
- Identify and resolve process bottlenecks
Requirements
- One year experience designing and maintaining scalable, resilient server architectures with focus on distributed systems, caching, and security
- Experience deploying containerized services to cloud infrastructure
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code practices
- Familiarity with debugging, monitoring, and logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with source control, continuous integration, and continuous deployment tools and practices including Git, GitHub actions, and Jenkins
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
