The ArcGIS Spatial Analyst team develops advanced raster analysis capabilities used by organizations worldwide to understand patterns, solve spatial problems, and make better decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Transform cutting-edge research and advanced concepts into high-performance, scalable analytical tools across key GIS domains, including: Spatial modeling and suitability analysis Terrain and surface analysis (such as intervisibility, geomorphometric) Pattern and density analysis Statistical analysis Hydrologic analysis Multidimensional scientific data modeling and analysis
Partner with a collaborative team to conceptualize, design, and deliver innovative GIS solutions that address complex real-world challenges
Architect and implement robust software components using industry-standard design principles and best practices
Proactively identify, analyze, and resolve software defects and performance bottlenecks through automated testing and optimization
Requirements
2+ years of demonstrated experience in C++ software development
Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
Excellent problem-solving, design, development, and debugging skills
Familiarity with distributed systems, parallel processing, and GPU-accelerated computing
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
Experience with C# and WPF application development
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and test-driven development (TDD) practices
Experience with GIS, raster analysis, and spatial analysis concepts
Strong foundation in mathematics and science, with experience in scientific computing for raster analysis
Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field
