Job Description

This role involves managing and expanding relationships with state government clients by applying geospatial technology solutions, identifying new business opportunities, and demonstrating the value of Esri's GIS products to support government missions and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations.
  • Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Understand customer needs, industry knowledge, and key stakeholders to tailor solutions.
  • Execute account management and sales processes to meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with team members to define and implement account strategies.
  • Present and demonstrate Esri technology's value to state government clients.
  • Conduct research and professional development to stay informed on industry trends.
  • Leverage social media and networking to expand professional connections.
  • Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
  • Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
  • Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of state government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
  • Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. (Visa sponsorship is not available).
