Job Description
This role involves managing and growing relationships with state government clients by leveraging geospatial technology, understanding their needs, and providing tailored GIS solutions to improve their operations and achieve their missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and business drivers to tailor GIS solutions
- Demonstrate industry knowledge and the relevance of Esri technology to state governments
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet sales targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies
- Present solutions and use visual storytelling techniques to support customer proposals
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of enterprise sales and or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Experience creating partnerships, and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
