Job Description
The role involves leveraging geospatial technology to support state and local government clients, focusing on account management, business growth, and customer relationship building. The ideal candidate will collaborate with teams to optimize the adoption of Esri technology and address the unique challenges faced by local government organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for customers
- Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars
- Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications
- Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes
- Use solution selling skills to address customer needs and challenges
- Articulate the value of Esri technology for state and local government
- Conduct research to anticipate customer needs and trends
- Execute account management and sales processes for opportunities
- Collaborate with teams across Esri to define and execute account strategies
Requirements
- 3 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
