Job Description
The role involves working with local government clients to optimize the adoption of Esri's geospatial technology, focusing on building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and delivering tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations.
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities for customers.
- Participate and present at trade shows, workshops, and seminars.
- Demonstrate industry knowledge relevant to GIS applications.
- Identify key stakeholders and understand customer budgeting processes.
- Use solution selling skills to address customer needs and challenges.
- Articulate the value of Esri technology for local government.
- Conduct research to anticipate customer needs and trends.
- Execute account management and sales processes for opportunities.
- Support visual storytelling and propose customer solutions.
- Collaborate with teams across Esri to define account strategies.
Requirements
- 3 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Bachelor's degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local government and new technology trends and the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Able to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
