Job Description
This role involves leveraging geospatial technology to build relationships with local government clients, identify their needs, and deliver solutions that improve organizational challenges through account management and sales strategies within the GIS industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Build relationships and develop location strategies for organizations
- Maintain a pipeline of business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
- Understand customer needs, stakeholders, and business drivers to tailor GIS solutions
- Demonstrate the value of Esri technology through solution selling and visual storytelling
- Execute account management and sales processes to meet sales targets
- Collaborate with internal teams to define and implement account strategies
- Participate in trade shows, workshops, and seminars to promote Esri solutions
- Research industry trends and pursue professional development to anticipate customer needs
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience.
- Experience creating partnerships and establishing yourself as a trusted advisor with customers.
- Understanding of account management, account planning, and opportunity strategy creation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of local government and new technology trends, with the ability to translate this into solutions for customers.
- Ability to negotiate, present, and support visual storytelling across all levels of an organization.
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally 25-50%.
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field.
