Water Engineer and LCA Analyst

• Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or similarly technical program; specific coursework in life cycle assessment a plus • Master’s degree or higher preferred; may also consider a Bachelor’s degree with sufficient professional experience • 3+ years applied professional experience • P.E. in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar a plus • Working knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes; experience with system design or operation a plus • Demonstrated ability to apply life cycle assessment through work experience, including experience with LCA software (e.g., SimaPro or openLCA) • Strong computer skills relevant to data manipulation and analysis. Experience with advanced Excel functions and Python is strongly preferred; GIS experience a plus • Ability to think creatively and holistically about complex systems • Passion for and experience in data-driven sustainability analysis • Familiarity with a wide range of data sources relevant to environmental and policy analysis and the ability to identify and engage experts to conduct research • Demonstrated ability to communicate research findings in technical report or journal article • Well-developed problem-solving, systems thinking, quantitative, and critical thinking skills; intellectual curiosity
