• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• At least 20 years of relevant experience
• Strong technical background in process engineering, process safety, and hazard analysis
• Expertise in energetic manufacturing processes is strongly desired
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
• Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
• Experience leading and facilitating teams to perform engineering and safety reviews with various stakeholders, including engineers, operators, and safety and quality representatives
• Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
• Vertical and horizontal mixing of energetic compounds
• Pour and pressure casting of energetic compounds
• Energetics reaction chemistry, including batch and continuous reactor configurations
• Bench-scale research for propellant and explosives formulations
• Pilot-scale manufacturing and production-scale development
• Pressing and extrusion of propellants and explosives using mechanical, screw, and ram presses
• Machining of propellants and explosives using conventional lathes, mills, saws, and computer numerical control machining centers
