Job Description
The Safety Specialist supports safety and occupational health programs by administering, monitoring, and enforcing safety procedures in compliance with OSHA, NAVOSH, and OPNAV standards, primarily in industrial or construction environments at the Surface Combat Systems Center in Wallops Island, VA.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and enforce safety programs and procedures in compliance with OSHA, NAVOSH, and OPNAV standards
- Support safety and occupational health programs in industrial or construction environments
- Identify risks and report incidents related to safety and occupational health
Requirements
- The candidate must have experience in an industrial or construction environment.
- The candidate must have strong knowledge of OSHA and Navy safety standards, risk identification, and incident reporting.
- The candidate must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- The candidate must be able to administer, monitor, and enforce safety programs and procedures in compliance with Occupational Safety and Health (OSH), Navy Occupational Safety and Health (NAVOSH), and OPNAV standards.
- This is a full-time, onsite position located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) in Wallops Island, VA.
