HVAC Technician

• At least 2 years of HVAC experience and current Journeyman licensure • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred • Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Refrigerant Reclamation and Recovery Certification • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems • Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques • Experience with Building Automation Systems (BAS) required • Familiarity with state and local building codes, OSHA regulations, and NFPA standards a plus • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance; Must be a U.S. citizen as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations • This position will require a pre-employment physical exam • This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds • Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals) • You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts • Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items • Must be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet • Must be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead
