The Crew Manager oversees field crews conducting ecological data collection for the BLM AIM Terrestrial Program, ensuring safe, efficient operations, data quality, and supporting logistics in remote environments.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily field crew operations for ecological data collection
Support field logistics and coordinate resources for fieldwork
Perform quality control of collected ecological data
Ensure safety and efficiency during field activities
Conduct periodic site visits and monitor crew performance
Motivate and support field crews working in remote and challenging environments
Perform fieldwork including camping for multiple nights
Requirements
Experience conducting AIM (Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring) fieldwork.
Experience with logistics coordination for field operations.
Ability to supervise daily crew operations and support field logistics.
Ability to perform quality control (QC) of collected ecological data.
Strong organizational skills.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to motivate and support field crews working in remote, challenging environments.
Ability to conduct fieldwork, including camping for multiple nights.
Willingness to conduct periodic site visits with crews throughout the season.
