Boiler Technician

• At least 2 years of HVAC experience • High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in facilities maintenance, engineering, or a related field is preferred • Experience working in federal or government facilities is preferred • Valid boiler operator or boiler technician certification/license, as required by the state or facility • Strong working knowledge of boiler operations, controls, and safety systems • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and operating procedures • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • This position will require a pre-employment physical exam • This position requires lifting objects weighing up to 100 pounds • Work may be performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g., fumes, dust, noise, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals) • You may be required to participate in medical surveillance programs • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, and reach during shifts • Must be able to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items • Must be able to safely climb and descend ladders, stairways, scaffolding, and elevated work platforms and perform work at heights up to and exceeding 30 feet • Must be able to perform work above shoulder level, including reaching, lifting, and manipulating tools and materials overhead • Must currently hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret-level security clearance • Must be a U.S. citizen, as this position is not eligible for Limited Access Authorizations
