Key Responsibilities
Shape product direction and deliver client solutions using research insights
Influence product and engineering roadmaps through research and trading strategy analysis
Lead cross-functional projects to develop advanced quantitative analytics and machine learning techniques
Investigate factors affecting trading performance and drive continuous strategy improvement
Research, develop, backtest, and deploy novel quantitative trading signals and strategies in the energy domain
Identify sources of trading alpha through analysis of energy datasets and industry techniques
Design, specify, develop, and deploy quantitative trading solutions
Lead research projects to advance techniques in energy asset management and financial trading
Requirements
A passion for clean energy and fighting climate change.
An degree in computer science, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, operations research, engineering, or related quantitative discipline.
At least 2 years of experience in quantitative research analytics or systematic financial trading, or a similar role, in the US Power Markets.
At least 2 years of experience with Python and the supporting computational science tool suite e.g. numpy, scipy, pandas, scikit-learn, tensorflow, etc.
Experience in the electricity and energy domain, e.g., wholesale market prices.
Experience developing, releasing, and tracking performance of quantitative trading strategies in production.
Experience communicating mathematical concepts, analytical results, and data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
