Job Description

This position offers hands-on training in plant operations, including receiving bulk materials, quality testing, vessel loading, and equipment operation, preparing individuals for a future role within the renewable energy company's manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive bulk materials and record data
  • Collect and test finished goods for quality assurance
  • Ensure safe docking, undocking, and mooring of vessels during loading
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and Bobcats
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas
  • Communicate with the operations team and escalate issues as needed

Requirements

  • Ability to work multiple shift schedules and rotating shifts as required.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to independently manage priorities and schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work different shifts as needed with proper notification.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Previous work experience in a manual position.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Willing and able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment.
  • Work includes high places more than 100 feet, use main lifts and work in confined spaces.
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
  • Available to work evenings, weekends, and overnight to address unexpected site issues with or without notice.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
  • Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or quantitative productivity standards.
