Job Description
The staff accountant supports monthly accounting and finance activities at a renewable energy plant, including financial close, reconciliations, inventory management, and processing invoices, to improve operational efficiency and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support documentation during monthly financial close
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and financial forecasting
- Process and reconcile invoices, ensuring proper coding and approval
- Obtain and verify purchase order and invoice matching for goods and services
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor plant load-out activities
Requirements
- At least 2-4 years relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, Finance, or related quantitative field
- Experience processing a high volume of invoices and/or purchase orders
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Ability to follow up on pending issues and meet tight deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work activities, manage time efficiently, and follow policies and procedures
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or similar ERP system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial data
