Job Description
The Reliability Engineer at Enviva is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency through process improvements, troubleshooting, and project management in a fast-paced industrial environment focused on sustainable wood bioenergy production.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute process improvement projects to enhance throughput and reduce variation
- Support development and implementation of capital projects through data analysis
- Diagnose and troubleshoot site process-related issues
- Implement corrective actions for safety and process improvements
- Understand factors affecting process, product, and equipment reliability
- Identify performance gaps and implement mechanical and electrical solutions
- Create and maintain procedures aligned with OEMS standards
- Manage multiple improvement projects using project management skills
- Analyze problems and develop solutions with critical and creative thinking
- Collaborate with maintenance and plant teams to develop company-wide solutions
- Contribute to the plant safety program
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 1-4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in wood or paper industry
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
- Willingness to respond to after hour calls regarding processes and equipment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Must be able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
- Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment
- Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
- Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
- Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
- Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
