Job Description
The Process Island Trainer at Enviva is responsible for delivering on-the-job training, supporting operational needs, and ensuring safety and quality standards within their area of expertise, while also providing cross-site support and process expertise to promote a sustainable energy future.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver on-the-job training and validate employee certifications
- Serve as subject matter expert for process island process refinements and troubleshooting
- Update standard work procedures and identify areas for process improvement
- Support onboarding of new employees and track their progress
- Provide cross-site troubleshooting, coaching, and training support
- Stay current with process updates, equipment changes, and safety requirements
- Create and document new process procedures
- Perform backup duties for operations supervisor
Requirements
- Must be a current site employee, internal candidates only.
- Must be fully certified in all certifications for their role level 3.
- Minimum of 3 years of Enviva experience, up to 7 years.
- Demonstrated strong performance in safety and quality.
- Lack of disciplinary violations.
- Ability to travel.
- Deep Enviva process knowledge.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
- Strong technical mechanical inclination, able to perform maintenance work and troubleshooting on process area, vibrations, noise detection, etc.
- Proven ability to adapt training methods to meet the needs of employees with diverse experience levels.
- Organizational skills to manage and balance training and operational duties.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Ability to serve as a role model and mentor.
