Job Description

The Quality Technician is responsible for sampling, testing, and ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process, and finished products in a manufacturing environment, following safety procedures and maintaining accurate records to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample and conduct testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Follow proper workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of quality testing results.
  • Use electronic systems and databases to record, analyze, and communicate quality data and issues.
  • Investigate quality issues, propose testing ideas for improvements, and perform special-project tests as needed.
  • Maintain lab equipment, ensure timely calibration, and adhere to safety procedures.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment required.
  • Proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets, Outlook Emailing, and experience with other databases required.
  • The ability to conduct sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples, measuring quality to client specifications daily.
  • The ability to follow proper workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of testing results.
  • The ability to investigate solutions to quality issues and propose tests ideas for quality improvements.
  • The ability to perform occasional special-projects tests to investigate the source of quality issues or study potential quality solutions.
  • Understanding and following all safety procedures.
  • Maintaining good housekeeping in the laboratory environment.
  • Maintaining lab equipment and ensuring timely calibration as necessary.
  • Willing and able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
  • Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • This position is not eligible for visa support.
