Job Description

The Quality Technician is responsible for sampling, testing, and ensuring the quality of raw materials, in-process, and finished products in a manufacturing environment, following safety procedures and maintaining accurate records to meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Sample and conduct testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples to ensure quality standards are met.
Follow proper workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of quality testing results.
Use electronic systems and databases to record, analyze, and communicate quality data and issues.
Investigate quality issues, propose testing ideas for improvements, and perform special-project tests as needed.
Maintain lab equipment, ensure timely calibration, and adhere to safety procedures.

Requirements

A minimum of two 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment required.
Proficiency in Excel Spreadsheets, Outlook Emailing, and experience with other databases required.
The ability to conduct sampling and testing of raw materials, in-process materials, finished goods, and environmental samples, measuring quality to client specifications daily.
The ability to follow proper workflow procedures and maintain accurate records of testing results.
The ability to investigate solutions to quality issues and propose tests ideas for quality improvements.
The ability to perform occasional special-projects tests to investigate the source of quality issues or study potential quality solutions.
Understanding and following all safety procedures.
Maintaining good housekeeping in the laboratory environment.
Maintaining lab equipment and ensuring timely calibration as necessary.
Willing and able to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment.
Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.
Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery.
Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
