Job Description

The Process Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving manufacturing processes, equipment reliability, and operational efficiency at a renewable energy plant, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring safety and performance standards are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute process improvement projects to enhance throughput, reduce variation, and improve equipment reliability
  • Support development and implementation of capital projects through technical data analysis
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot site process-related issues
  • Implement corrective actions related to safety and process improvements
  • Develop and maintain procedures in accordance with OEMS standards
  • Analyze performance gaps and implement mechanical and electrical process changes
  • Manage multiple improvement projects using project management skills
  • Collaborate with maintenance and plant teams to develop company-wide solutions
  • Contribute to the plant safety program

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • 4-7 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in wood or paper industry
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to respond to after hour calls regarding processes and equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with LEAN manufacturing, FMEA, Process Hazards Analysis and or Process Control Systems (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Prior experience in analyzing, estimating, and planning capital expenditures (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Familiarity with heavy industrial equipment (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and occasionally in temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees
  • Willing and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
  • Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment
  • Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day
  • Willing and able to work around moving equipment and machinery
  • Willing and able to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and or quantitative productivity standards
