Job Description

The Senior Manager, Regulatory Affairs at EnergyHub will lead regulatory advocacy efforts to support the company's growth in the electric utility sector, focusing on demand-side management and collaboration with industry stakeholders. This role involves tracking regulatory trends, engaging in policy discussions, and translating product vision into actionable regulatory objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accelerate EnergyHub's growth through regulatory advocacy and intelligence.
  • Lead engagement in PSC proceedings to scale customer programs.
  • Advocate for reforms to unlock demand flexibility value.
  • Track trends in grid modernization, resource planning, and legislation.
  • Participate in integrated resource planning to promote demand-side resources.
  • Formulate playbooks for DSM portfolio planning and implementation.
  • Educate regulators on the role of software in demand flexibility.
  • Represent EnergyHub in electric vehicle program design.
  • Harvest best practices from battery storage demand response programs.
  • Track regulatory trends and brief senior leadership.
  • Evaluate new business models in response to policy initiatives.
  • Research regulatory topics to accelerate grid-edge resource adoption.
  • Foster relationships with trade associations and represent EnergyHub at conferences.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create thought leadership materials.

Requirements

  • BA or BS degree with 4-7 years of work experience, and at least 2 years in the energy sector.
  • Familiarity with the electricity industry and utility business model, including understanding of key trends and stakeholder landscape.
  • Experience with federal, statewide, and utility electric vehicle initiatives.
  • Basic understanding of wholesale electricity market design and operations.
  • Basic understanding of distribution system management.
  • Ability to draft and copy edit regulatory comments, media, blogs, and customer-facing marketing and sales content.
  • Experience using Excel, Salesforce, Tableau, or other software tools to analyze and visualize data.
