Job Description

The Senior Principal Industrial Automation Engineer will design and implement control systems for energy storage projects, focusing on automation components such as PLCs, VFDs, motion control, and network communications, to support innovative energy storage solutions and the global transition to renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement on-site control programs for energy storage systems
  • Develop control systems involving PLCs, VFD motor drives, motion control, network communications, HMIs, data collection, and metric evaluation
  • Lead project efforts related to industrial automation for energy storage solutions

Requirements

  • Design and implement on-site control programs for various gravity energy storage system project requirements involving PLCs, VFD motor drives, motion control, network communications, HMIs, data collection, metric generation, and evaluation.
  • Experience in designing and implementing control systems for energy storage or similar industrial automation projects.
  • Proficiency in programming and configuring PLCs, VFD motor drives, and motion control systems.
  • Knowledge of network communications protocols used in industrial automation systems.
  • Ability to develop and manage Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) for control and monitoring purposes.
  • Experience in data collection, metric generation, and evaluation related to industrial control systems.
