The Trade Ally Manager II supports the development and maintenance of relationships with HVAC industry partners, promotes energy efficiency programs, and analyzes market data to drive program performance and greenhouse gas reductions within a primarily remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of relationships with HVAC manufacturers, distributors, and contractors
Travel to market locations to promote energy efficiency programs and build rapport with trade allies
Serve as a communication link between program leads and the Outreach and Trade Ally Team
Track market activity and developments to predict market trends
Contribute to outreach plans for new and existing programs
Analyze participation data, market, economic, and regulatory information to assess sales potential and monitor performance
Develop and manage trade ally and market actor relationships, including documenting best practices
Familiarize with public data resources relevant to energy solutions and report findings
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in energy-related discipline with policy, environmental, business administration, or related preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of related work experience or tenure in a related position.
Willingness to conduct local business travel and occasional travel to conferences.
Ability to build relationships with market actors and trade allies and be comfortable through phone calls and face-to-face meetings.
Familiarity with the HVAC equipment industry.
Work experience in sales or at HVAC contractor, distributor, or manufacturer preferred.
Ability to interact professionally with clients and present in the primary role.
Excellent business acumen and communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated ability to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis using Excel.
Ability to work and thrive independently.
Experience using Microsoft Office and Salesforce to track activity preferred.
Reside within 40 miles of an office location or willingness to relocate to Northeast-based location.
Willingness to travel for work-related activities, including local business travel and occasional conference travel.
Ability to develop and maintain organizational relationships with HVAC manufacturers, distributors, and contractors.
Ability to support outreach plans for new and existing programs, including analyzing participation statistics, market, economic data, and regulatory activity.
Ability to develop familiarity with public data resources and report development relevant to strategic interests.
Ability to track market activity and developments to predict market trends.
Ability to contribute to and support the development of trade ally and market actor relationships, including managing and building out best practice documentation.

Salary range: $79,000 - $92,000 annually, with a target of $87,400 based on experience and qualifications
