Job Description

The Senior Data Analyst at Energy Solutions will focus on enhancing business operations through data analysis, developing analytical models and dashboards, and supporting consulting staff with data-driven insights. This role involves mentoring team members, ensuring data quality, and collaborating across teams to streamline data processes in a growing, environmentally focused company.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and own analytical models and dashboards for internal and external clients
  • Prepare reports for leadership that communicate trends, patterns, and forecasts
  • Translate quantitative data into visual reports for non-technical audiences
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of data analyses and establish QA systems
  • Develop and track key performance metrics
  • Assist data engineering team in troubleshooting based on product knowledge
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to support data analytics and streamline data pipelines
  • Mentor and provide guidance to other members of the data analysis engineering team
  • Collaborate in setting and driving goals for the data analysis team
  • Identify improvements in data analytics processes and tools
  • Lead the development of company best practices around data analytics

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Job-related experience in data analytics and modeling, 8 years, OR Master's Degree and job-related experience, 6 years, OR Doctorate, 4 years.
  • Expert at developing analytical dashboards using BI tools Tableau, Power BI, etc., preferably Tableau.
  • Strong proficiency with SQL or other database querying language, preferably 3 years.
  • Advanced knowledge of building analytical models using a programming language, such as R or Python, preferably 3 years with Python.
  • Leadership experience and comfortable taking initiative in leading and growing a small team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, ability to use MS PowerPoint and MS Office in presentations.
  • Capable of working independently and working with non-technical managers.
  • Advanced knowledge of basic data warehousing principles.
  • Advanced knowledge of ETL design.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work with fast or changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to navigate multiple interrelated projects.
