Job Description
A leadership role overseeing and expanding utility-funded energy efficiency programs in the Pacific Northwest, focusing on strategic management, program delivery, stakeholder engagement, and business development to advance energy and climate goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and expand a portfolio of utility-funded energy efficiency programs
- Manage and develop teams, allocate budgets, and set strategic growth plans
- Lead program delivery, ensuring timely execution, quality, and impact
- Monitor program performance metrics, budgets, and address risks proactively
- Engage with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure satisfaction and collaboration
- Support business development through proposal development and identifying new opportunities
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, energy, policy, engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years experience with program implementation and growth, ideally in demand management and or storage program administration
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience including at least 5 years of supervision and leadership of multigenerational teams
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy efficiency principles, technologies, and utility program structures, including familiarity with incentive mechanisms, regulatory frameworks, and market-based approaches
- Proven track record of delivering utility-funded energy efficiency programs
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight of large-scale initiatives
- Demonstrated outstanding problem solving, quantitative, and analytical skills
- Ability to solve complex problems and provide solutions
- Ability to balance competing priorities
- Strong client management and project management skills
- Proven track record of successful supervision or organizational leadership experience
- Strong financial acumen including budgeting, cost management, and maximizing profitability
- Demonstrated ability to provide thought leadership to achieve energy and climate goals
- Ability to work in a team-oriented, collegial, and collaborative environment in a fast-paced and dynamic setting at a growing company
- Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage time and organize competing priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Ability and willingness to support and oversee the delivery of a portfolio of energy efficiency programs, ensuring timely execution, quality, impact, and meeting financial targets
- Ability to monitor program performance metrics, budgets, and timelines, and proactively identify and address risks or bottlenecks
- Ability to stay current on energy codes, incentive programs, and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions
- Experience with client and stakeholder engagement, including managing relationships, resolving issues, and facilitating collaboration
- Experience supporting development of proposals and business development efforts, including initiating and leading proposals for new and current projects
- Ability to work remotely with flexibility, and reside within 40 miles of an office location (excluding certain states)
Benefits & Perks
Compensation range of $145,000 - $180,000 annually, with a target of $145,000 - $171,000, commensurate with experience
