Analyst (Energy and Climate Modeling)

This role sits within Energy Innovation’s philanthropic research team , which provides research and analysis to support the grantmaking strategy of philanthro pic organizations. The Analyst will be responsible for research and quantitative analysis using our in-house model , the Energy Policy Simulator, in addition to other tools. They will work with the team and our partners to design and analyze policy scenarios, interpret the results, and share findings with important phila n thropy stakeholders . The Analyst will produce succinct and engaging written and visual communications materials, such as technical summaries , data visualizations, memos, and presentations .

• Experience in multiple energy sectors and/or multiple large emitting geographies
• Experience using AI to develop complex energy models and construct datasets
• Experience with Vensim or other software programs, e.g. Python or R.
• Experience building and running energy or industrial sector models
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Energy Innovation is not able to provide employment visa sponsorship for this position.
• This role is done primarily in an office environment.
• Remain in a stationary position (at a desk) for at least 75% of the day
