The Vice President of Asset Management is responsible for leading the technical asset management team to maximize the performance, reliability, and long-term value of the company's renewable energy portfolio, ensuring assets operate efficiently and meet financial and compliance goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of the Technical Asset Management (TAM) team, aligning with Engineering and Finance teams.
Maximize long-term value, performance, and reliability of the renewable energy portfolio.
Develop and execute strategies for asset management across safety, availability, energy production, financial performance, compliance, and reporting.
Own the operation of assets from Commercial Operation through end of life, ensuring performance meets pro-forma expectations.
Identify opportunities to improve asset returns and enhance asset value.
Ensure assets perform reliably and efficiently, feeding operational lessons into project design and development.
Requirements
Experience leading all aspects of the Technical Asset Management (TAM) team, including strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of asset management functions across safety, availability, energy production, financial performance, compliance, and reporting requirements.
Ability to serve as the internal owner of operating assets from Commercial Operation through end of life, ensuring assets perform in-line with pro-forma expectations while identifying opportunities to improve returns.
Proven track record of maximizing the long-term value, performance, and reliability of a renewable energy portfolio.
Experience in developing and implementing strategies for asset management functions related to safety, availability, energy production, financial performance, compliance, and reporting.
Ability to feed operational lessons back into project design and development to enhance asset value.
Strong leadership skills to lead the TAM team and align with Engineering and Finance teams.
Experience in managing assets in the renewable energy sector, specifically solar PV systems and energy storage applications, is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, finance, business, or a related field (implied as a typical requirement for senior leadership roles in asset management).
