Job Description

The Corporate Staff Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities for corporate entities, including general ledger management, month-end and quarter-end close processes, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls, supporting accurate financial reporting and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day accounting for corporate entities and managed assets
Prepare and maintain financial records tracking assets, liabilities, and profit and loss
Assist with general ledger management and month-end/quarter-end close activities
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Support financial reporting and operational processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial information
Contribute to continuous process improvements in accounting functions

Requirements

The candidate must have experience in day-to-day accounting for corporate entities and certain other assets managed by the company, as needed.
The candidate must be responsible for preparing and maintaining financial records to track the organization’s assets, liabilities, profit and loss, and other related financial activities.
The candidate must support ESRT’s financial reporting and operational excellence by assisting with general ledger management, month-end and quarter-end close activities, account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
The candidate must be detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive.
The candidate must have the ability to operate independently while supporting high standards of accuracy, accountability, and collaboration.
