Job Description
The Managing Consultant at E3 leads client-facing projects in the energy sector, providing strategic analysis, developing reports, and delivering presentations on complex energy and climate issues, while guiding project teams and contributing to policy and market solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead client-facing interactions and identify project approaches and methods for medium-to-large projects
- Direct workstreams within projects and contribute to written reports and papers
- Deliver findings and summaries to customers through presentations and Q&A sessions
- Oversee investigative tasks, manage existing tools, and lead proposal writing efforts
Requirements
- Deep subject matter expertise related to at least one of the general practice areas: Climate Pathways and Electrification, Asset Valuation, Transmission, and Markets, or Integrated System Planning.
- Strong analytical dexterity and/or policy experience in the energy sector.
- Ability to independently create and actualize work plans that are efficient while delivering an elevated level of guidance to serve customers.
- Experience in leading client-facing interactions and playing a leadership role in identifying the approach and methods for medium-to-large projects.
- Experience in directing workstreams within projects and contributing heavily to written reports and papers.
- Proficiency in delivering findings and summaries to customers, making presentations, and replying to questions.
- Strong attention to detail in technical and project management tasks.
- Excellent project management and leadership techniques.
- Ability to work closely with clients and stakeholders in a collaborative environment.
- Willingness and ability to work full-time hours, including working for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conducting meetings on the telephone and virtually.
- Must be able to travel 0-10% as required.
