Job Description
A Senior Consultant at E3 works on energy and climate policy projects, providing analysis, research, and strategic recommendations to clients in the energy sector. The role involves leading workstreams, preparing reports, delivering presentations, and contributing to high-impact initiatives aimed at advancing clean energy and low-carbon transition efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist and lead client-facing interactions to identify project approaches and methods
- Direct workstreams within projects and contribute to written reports and papers
- Deliver findings and summaries to clients through presentations and Q&A sessions
- Perform investigative tasks, quality assurance, and control of project products
- Become a technical lead on project needs and flagship modeling tools
Requirements
- Prior experience specifically addressing energy and climate change issues
- Significant project management experience
- Strong analytical dexterity and/or policy experience related to energy
- Ability to examine, research, and offer creative solutions to complex energy issues
- Proficiency in clearly presenting information to a variety of stakeholders
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to create and implement work plans that are efficient and provide guidance to customers
- Experience in assisting and or spearheading client-facing interactions and identifying approaches and methods for project tasks
- Ability to direct workstreams within projects and contribute heavily to written reports and papers
- Experience delivering findings and summaries to customers, making presentations, and replying to questions
- Proficiency in conducting more elaborate investigative tasks, core QA QC of products, and becoming a technical head on various project needs or flagship modeling tools
- Ability to work full-time in a hybrid and flexible work environment, including extended hours in front of a computer screen and conducting meetings virtually or on the telephone
- Availability to travel 0-10% as required
- Educational background or experience demonstrating a strong understanding of energy, climate change, and related policy issues
