Job Description
The Analyst Associate Consultant at E3 conducts research, analysis, and evaluation to support energy policy, market strategies, and project development within a collaborative environment, helping clients make informed decisions on clean energy initiatives and regulatory proceedings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and evaluation to support project delivery under senior team members' guidance
- Assist in developing and refining forecasting models and quantifying market strategies
- Study market portfolios, stakeholder needs, and industry standards
- Develop policy and market overviews to inform customer strategies
- Contribute to high-impact energy projects related to clean energy policy and market development
Requirements
- A strong academic record and prior experience specifically addressing renewable energy and climate change issues are desired.
- Candidates must have the ability to work in a hybrid and flexible work environment that adapts to changing needs of projects, including the ability to work for extended hours in front of a computer screen and conduct meetings on the telephone and virtually.
- Candidates must be able to work full-time hours.
- The position may be classified as exempt or non-exempt depending on the level of work experience.
- Candidates must be willing to travel between 0 to 5 days.
- Candidates must be located in or willing to work at one of the office locations: San Francisco, Boston, New York, or Calgary.
- Candidates must demonstrate strong analytical skills and/or policy experience with integrity and a commitment to the clean energy transition.
- Candidates must have proven organizational techniques to create and actualize work plans that are efficient while delivering guidance to serve customers.
- Candidates must have the ability to clearly present technical and policy information to a variety of stakeholders.
- Candidates must actively seek answers to questions and enjoy finding creative solutions to issues encountered in their work.
- Candidates must have research and evaluation skills to aid the delivery of customer work under the direction of senior team members, including contributing to forecasting models, quantifying market strategies, studying market portfolios and stakeholder needs, benchmarking industry standards, and developing policy and market overviews.
- Candidates must be able to participate in a multi-week onboarding experience, including a proprietary 22-course training program, and engage in ongoing professional development activities such as attending conferences and utilizing a professional development stipend.
