Job Description

The Senior Business Development Representative (APAC AUS) is responsible for identifying interest in DroneDeploy's solutions through cold outreach, conducting discovery conversations, and collaborating with sales and marketing teams to generate new business opportunities and expand existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify interest in DroneDeploy from key accounts and conduct cold outreach
  • Schedule qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives
  • Work strategically with AEs to target new accounts and expand existing ones
  • Perform research to develop tailored messaging strategies in collaboration with marketing campaigns
  • Conduct detailed discovery conversations to generate sales pipeline

Requirements

  • The candidate must have the ability to travel domestically and internationally for events and trade shows up to 25%.
  • The candidate must be able to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm local timezone, with flexibility to meet prospects across the APAC region and to coordinate with global teams in the US and UK.
  • The candidate must have experience in conducting cold outreach to identify interest in DroneDeploy from key accounts and to schedule qualified discovery meetings for Account Executives.
  • The candidate must have experience in performing research to develop tailored messaging strategies in tandem with marketing campaigns.
  • The candidate must have experience in conducting detailed discovery conversations to drive pipeline generation.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work in a hybrid work model, with remote and office-based work in North Sydney up to three days per week.
  • The candidate must have a proven track record of working strategically with sales teams to target net new accounts and expand existing customer accounts.
  • The candidate must have a competitive spirit and be excited to work cross-functionally with sales and different departments to generate new demand.
  • The candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, sales, or a related role (implied by the seniority level and responsibilities).
  • The candidate must possess skills in developing tailored messaging strategies, conducting discovery conversations, and pipeline generation (implied as essential skills).
