Sustaining Laser Engineer

• Serve as a subject matter expert, overseeing laser and related processes with a focus on continuous improvement and maintaining ongoing high-volume production. • Optimize high-power ablative laser processes for tight process control. • Design and implement data collection and process control systems in collaboration with our software and database teams. • Maintain process ownership over released production processes and equipment to monitor for sustained performance. • Recommend and lead process improvements to enhance ongoing performance and yield.

• Advanced degree or relevant industry experience in Materials Science, Applied Physics (materials, laser, or optics focus), or Engineering with a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience. • Experience with mass production of diamond, semiconductors, and/or ceramics. • Experience in data analysis, Six Sigma, and statistical process control. • Fast learner with the ability to quickly adapt to new environments, tools, and workflows. • Experience with resolving laser process technical problems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
