Key Responsibilities
Monthly oversight of automated depreciation journals in NetSuite
Record ASC 842 lease adoption journals and maintain oversight of LeaseQuery records
Record development project costs and collaborate with the project execution team to confirm actual costs.
Prepare reconciliations for project and fixed asset related accounts
Reconcile inter-company activity, including inter-company payables, receivables, investment in subsidiaries, and equity.
Prepare schedules to support quarterly and annual audited financial statements and disclosure notes
Provide supporting work papers as requested by the independent auditors
Prepare supporting documents and record complex journal entries in areas such as, but not limited to project work in progress, fixed assets, cash, prepaids, accrued expenses, leases, various operating expenses and revenues, investment and equity
Seek continuous improvement of assigned tasks and identify processes suitable for automation.
Maintain desktop procedures for assigned tasks and periodically update
Handles various other duties as assigned by the Accounting Manager
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required (or CPA exam eligibility based on completed coursework)
Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience
Experience with NetSuite, specifically with fixed assets and multi-entity accounting entries
CPA a plus, not required
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including SUMIFS, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other core functions
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Big Four audit experience is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication, planning, analysis, and organizational skills
Strong leadership, appraisal, relationship management, and problem solving abilities
Sound judgment and discretion in decision making
Skilled at multitasking with close attention to detail
Comfortable driving and adapting to process improvement
Collaborative team player who thrives in a changing environment

Location: The preferred location for this role is for our office in Durham, NC. Our team operates on a hybrid schedule, with in-office schedule of three days per week.
Compensation: The salary range for the position is $80,000-$110,00 plus bonus and benefits. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
