Job Description
The Interconnection Process Manager at Cypress Creek Renewables will oversee the management of interconnection requests and study processes for solar and storage projects, focusing on enhancing greenfield development and M&A efforts. The role requires expertise in interconnection processes within PJM, ISONE, and NYISO, along with experience in negotiating agreements and managing project milestones.
Responsibilities
- •Support due diligence to identify interconnection opportunities for solar and storage projects
- •File new interconnection requests
- •Scrutinize pre-NTP interconnection study results
- •Lead LGIA negotiation
- •Manage post IA milestones
- •Support post-NTP project execution
- •Manage large generator interconnection requests through study processes
- •Negotiate interconnection agreements
- •Manage interconnection-related milestones during project construction and commissioning
- •Participate in generator interconnection process tariff-related stakeholder processes
- •Engage in local, regional, or inter-regional transmission planning processes
Requirements
- •BA/BS degree in energy engineering required, PE preferred.
- •5 years of experience managing interconnection requests and study processes at a large infrastructure developer, an electric utility, transmission provider, or energy consultant, ideally in PJM, ISONE, and/or NYISO.
- •Experience with management of large generator interconnection requests through interconnection study processes, negotiating interconnection agreements, and managing interconnection-related milestones during the project construction and commissioning phase.
- •Electrical or energy engineering experience with power flow studies, contingency analysis, stability analysis commonly used in generator interconnection and transmission planning studies including familiarity with TARA, PSS/E, PowerWorld or similar software package.
- •Participation in generator interconnection process tariff related stakeholder processes and local, regional, or inter-regional transmission planning processes.
- •Excellent OATT research and analytical skills.
- •Excellent attention to detail, concise communication, and demonstrated ability to build consensus with cross-functional internal teams.
- •Organized, detail-oriented, and diligent.
- •Self-motivated and driven with a high level of initiative and creative problem solving.
