Job Description
The Quality Assurance Assistant provides administrative and technical support within the Quality Management System, focusing on maintaining quality records, supporting audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance in an aerospace turbine engine repair facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain quality records and ensure proper document retention in compliance with regulations
- Support internal audits and assist with audit preparation and response
- Generate and review shipping documents, certificates, and material certifications for accuracy and compliance
- Assist in creating, revising, and controlling work instructions and technical documents
- Manage and organize technical data libraries and quality records
- Monitor and control document revisions, ensuring obsolete documents are removed and current ones are accessible
- Support corrective actions and continuous improvement activities related to nonconformances and root cause analysis
- Interface with internal departments to resolve record discrepancies and ensure regulatory and customer requirements are met
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of previous office experience, preferably in a technical or production-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated experience of above average organizational skills and attention to detail required.
- Keyboard ability at or about fifty (50) words per minute (WPM).
- High School diploma with some college courses preferred.
- High accuracy rate of data entry, written and verbal communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other types of business software.
- Ability to understand, read, and write the English language.
- Some experience working individually on projects and data.
- Exposure to and/or familiarity with technical documentation, such as ISO 9001, is helpful.
