Job Description

The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and updating equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability, with a focus on continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair industrial machinery and equipment to ensure performance and safety
  • Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on facility systems such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  • Respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with team members, vendors, or contractors
  • Read and interpret technical data, vendor manuals, piping diagrams, and procedures
  • Maintain records of equipment and maintenance activities
  • Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, building codes, and electrical safety standards
  • Work collaboratively with engineering, production, purchasing, and other departments

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED certification.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Experience in the operation of forklifts and motorized lift equipment.
  • Experience in understanding and following verbal and written instructions accurately, including the reading and interpretation of manufacturer guidelines and governmental regulations.
  • Valid driver’s license required to operate assigned fleet vehicles.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical data including vendor manuals, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P ID s), and procedures.
  • Experience or training in industrial maintenance areas including electrical, pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical controls, and systems.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and FANUC Control systems is helpful.
  • Experience in the operation of small equipment, tractors, and scissor lifts is preferred.
  • Snowplow experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to or experience with eMaintenance programs or similar computerized work management systems (CMMS) is helpful.
  • Ability to lift and move parts weighing up to 55 pounds using hoists, slings, carts, or other handling methods.
  • Climbing ladders and using stairs as part of job duties.
  • Use of safety and personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety toe shoes, hearing protection, TyVek coveralls, and respirators as required.
