Job Description
The Manager, Interconnection is responsible for managing and coordinating the generation interconnection process for renewable energy projects, including application submission, study negotiations, stakeholder engagement, and supporting project development and construction efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and lead the generation interconnection process for utility-scale solar, energy storage, and natural gas projects.
- Oversee application submission, study agreement processes, and communication of study results.
- Track and ensure timely execution of interconnection queue milestones and agreements.
- Coordinate with utilities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain interconnection approvals.
- Participate in industry stakeholder forums and inform management of industry trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Land Acquisition, Engineering, Permitting, EPC, Operations) to develop project pipelines.
- Support project acquisition, financing, and co-location efforts through interconnection expertise.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools for project milestones and progress.
- Manage activities of consultants and service providers related to interconnection processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with project management software.
- Ability to work in the Dana Point, Salt Lake City, or Lake Oswego office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
