Job Description
The Manager, Interconnection is responsible for managing and coordinating the generation interconnection process for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar, storage, and natural gas, ensuring timely application, study, and agreement negotiations to support project development and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coordinate, and lead the generation interconnection process for renewable energy projects.
- Oversee application submission, study agreement processes, and communicate study results.
- Track and ensure timely execution of interconnection queue milestones and agreements.
- Coordinate with utilities, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to obtain interconnection approvals.
- Participate in industry forums and inform management of industry changes and trends.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop project pipelines and support project acquisition and financing.
- Support co-location of generation projects with data center campuses.
- Develop and maintain tracking tools for project milestones and progress.
- Manage activities of consultants and service providers related to interconnection processes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience with project management software.
- Ability to work in the Dana Point, Salt Lake City, or Lake Oswego office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
