Job Description

The role involves performing manufacturing welding work for high-field superconducting magnets at Commonwealth Fusion Systems, primarily during weekend night shifts, contributing to the development of fusion energy technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manufacturing in-house welding work for high-field superconducting magnets
  • Operate welding equipment to meet specifications and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety and export control regulations during welding processes

Requirements

  • Experience performing manufacturing in-house welding work for high-field superconducting magnets or similar advanced technological components.
  • Availability to work the second shift hours from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am, specifically on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights.
  • Willingness to work on-site at Commonwealth Fusion Systems facilities.
  • Ability to comply with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws), with any employment offer contingent upon compliance.
  • Demonstrated commitment to working in fast-paced environments and aligning with company values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.

Benefits & Perks

Compensation rate of $30 - $41 per hour
Work schedule: Saturday, Sunday, Monday nights (6:00 pm - 6:00 am)
