Job Description
The Senior Cost Accountant will support accounting and inventory controls by managing standard costs, conducting variance analysis, and valuing inventory, collaborating across departments to address complex costing challenges in a fast-paced fusion energy company.
Key Responsibilities
- Support accounting and inventory controls across the organization
- Manage standard cost processes and procedures
- Conduct variance analysis to identify cost discrepancies
- Perform inventory valuations accurately
- Collaborate with multiple departments to address costing challenges
Requirements
- Support key Accounting and Inventory controls across the organization, including standard cost management, variance analysis, and inventory valuations.
- Work closely across multiple departments at Commonwealth Fusion Systems to coordinate cost accounting activities.
- Display a goal-oriented approach and strong intuition for tackling novel costing challenges.
- Possess relevant experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or related fields (implied by the seniority level).
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment driven by values of integrity, execution, impact, and self-critique.
- Compliance with U.S. laws concerning the export of controlled or protected technologies or information (Export Control Laws) is required, and any employment offer is contingent upon such compliance.
