Job Description
The Project Safety Engineer will lead safety efforts for the construction, assembly, commissioning, and operation of novel systems in a fusion power plant, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security standards.
Responsibilities
- •Ensure safe construction, assembly, commissioning, and operation of fusion power plant systems
- •Serve as the safety expert for the SPARC fusion power plant
- •Lead safety initiatives within the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security (EHSS) team
- •Provide on-call support and be available onsite within 1 hour when required
Requirements
- •The role will be our fusion power plant safety expert and will serve as a leader to ensure the safe construction, assembly, commissioning and operation of novel systems and applications throughout our fusion power plant.
- •This role is onsite at our Devens MA campus. This is not a hybrid or remote role.
- •This role may include on-call responsibilities requiring the ability to be onsite within 1 hour.
